Growth and Development
The lifespan of a Persian Carpet Flatworm varies on how big it is. The greater the size, the longer that it will live. They can range from a few months to even 30 years of age. The Persian Carpet Flatworm's average size is around 10 centimeters long. It's life cycle starts off when the egg gets fertilized in a capsule. Three weeks later, the egg develops into an adult flatworm.
The Persian Carpet Flatworm moves by undulating the three layers of muscle it has on the bottom of its body. That is the only way they can move throughout the water.
Flatworms reproduce asexually. Which means, they can regenerate if a little bit of their body remains. So if they are cut in half, both halves can regenerate full flatworms. They can also reproduce sexually. A cocoon containing eggs, swells in to body of the flatworm and releases into the ocean. It is attached to either rocks or weeds. This contains the egg which can be fertilized by passing flatworms.

Persian Carpet Flatworms eat various dead organisms that are found in the ocean. They eat tiny organisms that are small enough to digest.
Persian Carpet Flatworms are found in coral, reefs, lagoons, and bays. Flatworms just kill off the micro organisms in the ocean. They don't really have a niche. Flatworms have lots of predators. Some include other species of flatworms, fish, and shrimps.

Adaptations/EvolutionOver time, flatworms developed something called a haptor. It is used to attach to its host. The flatworm over time also developed a cephalized soft body that is ribbon shaped, flattened, and dorso-ventrally and bilaterally symmetric. Flat worms are surprisingly related to Reef Squid.
